“Mar de Ardora (The Ardora Sea) is a phenomenon that occurs at night on certain beaches around the world, under very specific conditions that cause the algae to glow in different shades of blue. Being from Galicia, I’ve always felt a strong connection to the sea, where this phenomenon is fairly common. So, when I was in Mexico during my first tour there, I was very surprised to discover that this phenomenon also takes place on their coasts.

The album was written during an emotionally complex time between Galicia and Mexico. On that trip, I bathed in the Ardora Sea, and it was there that I finished writing the last songs of this album. That experience deepened my bond with the sea and marked the end of a challenging chapter. Naming the album Mar de Ardora felt like the natural thing to do.”
