Avery Raquel, a Canadian alternative soul singer, has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade and has released four critically acclaimed solo albums. His latest eponymous album released in the spring of 2022 debuted at #5 on the Canadian iTunes Top 200 RnB/Soul album chart. Five songs from this album were finalists in the 2022 John Lennon Songwriting Competition, in different categories, and one of them won the Grand Prize in the Pop category. Avery Raquel’s new project combines influences from artists such as Carole King and Amy Winehouse, and features a soulful and fun mix of RnB/Soul and Pop, with hints of jazz and blues. This album reflects his love for the RnB/Soul music of the past but with a more contemporary style.
